Rina Fujii advises clients on legal issues related to the design and operation of retirement, compensation, and health and welfare plans. She frequently counsels Fortune 500 clients with large, complex plans and issues.
More specifically, Rina counsels clients on all phases of retirement plan design and drafting, participant communications, and government filings, as well as day-to-day compliance and administration processes. Rina also counsels clients who are involved in plan audits, correction applications, and inquiries involving the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor, and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.
She works with a wide range of clients in an equally broad range of industries. As a practitioner, Rina puts into practice the principle that each client’s situation is unique, as are their objectives and needs. For example, as a native Japanese speaker, Rina strives to communicate the nuances of U.S. law and regulations while being attentive to cultural distinctions that are important to Japanese clients.
Rina spends her spare time in museums and exploring restaurants. She is also an avid traveler, particularly to Europe and Japan.
