Groom principal and chair of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Christy Tinnes, will be serving on Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s (“MCCA”) 2021 LMJ Scholarship Selection Committee. As part of Groom’s ongoing partnership with MCCA and our 15th consecutive year of supporting the program, the scholarship is part of a diversity pipeline program that seeks to nurture the academic and professional careers of outstanding law students. Offered to women and diverse students who have (1) been accepted to an ABA-accredited law school on a full-time basis, (2) an outstanding or promising academic record, (3) an interest in corporate law, (4) demonstrated community service and leadership qualities, (5) a financial need, and (6) a commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity, the program also provides the opportunity to connect with peers, alumni and mentors for additional professional support.
