Groom principal and leader of the firm’s Health Practice, Katie Bjornstad Amin, will host the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators webinar “Funding Medical Plan Reserves Through a Trust – When Are Deductions Allowed?” The event will take place at 1:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, July 30th.
Amin will cover Code section 419 and 419A deduction rules, which govern an employer’s deduction for contributions to a trust funding medical benefits. She will also dive into the types of funding vehicles for medical plans, limits on deductions for contributions to a trust, differences in deduction amounts when funding a plan through a trust vs. paying out of general assets, and more.
